Privacy Policy
Got Questions? is an independent Christian youth ministry project. This notice explains how information is handled on this website.
Questions and conversations
You can ask a question without providing your name. Questions, follow-up messages, responses, and conversation timestamps are stored to operate the service. The ministry administrator can read private conversations to respond. Anyone who has your private conversation link can view that conversation, so keep the link private.
Do not include your name, contact details, or other identifying information in questions. We cannot guarantee complete anonymity, particularly if you choose to identify yourself in a message.
Public answers
Private conversations are not automatically published. The administrator may create a separate, edited version of a question and answer for the public library, reviewing it to remove identifying details before publication. Do not assume that editing eliminates every possible risk of identification.
Technical information
Web servers and infrastructure providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, and browser information for security and operation. The administrator uses a secure session cookie to sign in.
Optional SMS notifications
When enrollment is enabled, students may optionally enter a US mobile number on their private conversation page. Twilio sends a verification code. After successful verification, our server stores the phone number encrypted and records the time of consent and verification. Phone numbers are not shown in the ministry dashboard. Authorized server administrators and Twilio account administrators may still access them. Twilio processes phone numbers and delivery records under its own policies. Unsubscribing from the conversation page deletes the active phone-number subscription from our database; existing backups and Twilio records may remain under their retention policies.
We do not sell or share SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS delivery providers may process information necessary to provide the messaging service once it is enabled.
Safety and minors
This website is not an emergency or crisis response service. Do not use it for urgent safety concerns. If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services or a trusted adult. Because students may be minors, additional safeguarding and consent procedures will be established before SMS enrollment launches.
Questions about privacy
For privacy questions or requests concerning a conversation, speak directly with the ministry administrator. Please do not include sensitive information in a public message.
